TSE 2009

For TSE 2009, we watched the eclipse from Northeast of the Cook Islands, just east of Pukapuka. We sailed from Tahiti on the Paul Gauguin, and headed for the Cook Islands. Our chief astronomer was friend Alex Filippenko, with his wife Noelle on this trip also.

Once again, we almost missed the eclipse because of clouds, but the captain put the ship into a good position with seconds to spare before totality.
